The Diary of a Young Girl: Anne Frank

the definitive edition

this was a great book. once i got involved, i had to finish it. it's weird to think she was the same age as you are...well, almost the same age...and yet she seemed to mature, so open. i recommend this to a mature audience, because there is a bit of sexuality in the book. it's odd...anne had always wished to be a journalist, and she had planned to become one once the war was over. and yet, she never made it to the end of the war *tear*, and she still became a journalist. i hope she realizes, wherever she is now, that she's written a now famous piece of work. CONGRATS!

and then there were none

agatha christie

this, i have to say, was one of the best and most surprising mystery books i have read in a long time! a definite must read for any mystery lover! ten 'murderers', murderers who couldn't be convicted from the law, are brought to one deserted island called indian island. and one by one...they die. this story is based upon a rhyme called 'ten little indians'. here's the small poem to give you an idea of the plot:
Ten little Indian boys went out to dine;
One choked his little self and then there were nine.
Nine little Indian boys sat up very late;
One overslept himself and then there were eight.
Eight little Indian boys traveling in Devon;
One said he'd stay there and then there were seven.
Seven little Indian boys chopping up sticks;
One chopped himself in halves and then there were six.
Six little Indian boys playing with a hive;
A bumblebee stung one and then there were five.
Five little Indian boys going in for law;
One got in Chancery and then there were four.
Four little Indian boys going out to sea;
A red herring swallowed one and then there were three.
Three little Indian boys walking in the Zoo;
A big bear hugged one and then there were two.
Two little Indian boys sitting in the sun;
One got frizzled up and then there was one.
One little Indian boy left all alone;
He went and hanged himself and then there were none.
spooky...hehe, like i said, A MUST READ!
