entry time: 10:48CDT hey guys. sorry i haven't written. i'll just sorta fill you all in on what happened the past few days. after july 2, we spent the whole day diddling around the resort. i sat on the beach most of the day in one of those little chairs that they have there. it was really nice. i also convinced my mom to let us rent kayaks, so i did some kayaking around the bay. it was awesome! but when i was trying to get out of mine, i sorta leaned a little too far...enough said. the next day we went to some falls, i forget what they were called. it was beautiful. i climbed over to the edge and sat. i saw a flying squirrel. of all places! it was pretty random. just looking around at the trees, then whoosh! there went a squirrel. i tried to show my mom, but she missed it. after spending an hour there or so, we went to lunch. nothing special. jerk pork and chicken, and some festivals. incase you don't know what those are, i'll explain. jerk is a spice, a hot spice, that jamaicans use on meats to 'kick it up a notch'. festivals are like corn bread, but sweetened and not quite so crumbly. if you've never had corn bread, then i don't know how to explain it. it's just GOOD! you've never had any good treat until you've had festivals! once we finished lunch, the whole time competing with monster flies, we made out way back to the resort. i, again, sat on the beach just to get sunburned. the next day, we left! and that leads me here. yesterday we just hung around the house. i read most of the day. it was called 'and then there were none'. i definitely recommend it! it's a good mystery. i'm reading anne frank's diary. it's pretty good, but i just started it. well, i'm getting tired. i'll be sure and write whatever special i do tomorrow! here's alli, checking' out! |
